Kincha-Polishchuk Tamara Anatoliivna – was born on June 16, 1955, in Kyiv.

Since graduating in 1979 from the Kyiv Medical Institute, the entire medical career of Tamara Anatoliivna Kincha-Polishchuk has been associated with the «Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine». She joined the Institute by assignment and initially worked there as a physician. Since 1982, following a competitive selection, she was appointed as a Junior Research Fellow at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Children and Adolescents of the Research «Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics».

In 1991, she was promoted to the position of Senior Research Fellow, and in October 1993, following a competitive selection, she was appointed as a Leading Research Fellow at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Children and Adolescents, where she continues to work to the present day.

In 1992, Tamara Anatoliyivna Kincha-Polishchuk defended her Candidate of Sciences (PhD) dissertation devoted to a new and insufficiently studied issue in pediatric orthopedics, titled «Diagnosis and Treatment of Renal Osteodystrophy in Children». She is the author of more than 215 scientific publications and a co-author of a monograph on the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

Tamara Anatoliyivna Kincha-Polishchuk is a highly qualified pediatric orthopedic traumatologist of the highest category, with extensive expertise in modern diagnostic and treatment methods for children with congenital and acquired disorders of the musculoskeletal system. She performs more than 100 surgical interventions annually in children with congenital and acquired musculoskeletal conditions.

Tamara Anatoliyivna Kincha-Polishchuk has been engaged for many years in the under-researched problem of osteopenic syndrome and osteoporosis in children and adolescents. She has personally introduced modern diagnostic methods for examining children with osteopenic syndrome and osteoporosis. For the first time in Ukraine, she applied bisphosphonates for the treatment of this patient group and developed a treatment algorithm for children with severe forms of osteoporosis. She also delivers lectures and conducts practical classes for clinical residents and physicians undergoing advanced training, combining scientific and practical activities with her work at the «Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics» of the «Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine». She actively appears in the mass media (radio and television), promoting prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in children. By decree of the President of Ukraine, she was awarded the honorary title of «Honored Doctor of Ukraine».
