The meeting of the Expert Council at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine served as an important platform for professional discussion on current issues in shaping Ukraine’s modern veterans’ policy and reexamining the role of veterans in the context of today’s social transformation. Held at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the event brought together members of the academic community, representatives of veterans’ organizations, government authorities, and youth organizations to discuss methodological approaches to the study of the veteran phenomenon, as well as ways to improve state support mechanisms for veterans. A particularly significant aspect of the discussion was the participation of representatives of the Youth Council under the Dnipro District State Administration in Kyiv, highlighting the importance of intergenerational dialogue in building a responsible civil society. Such cooperation contributes to fostering a culture of respect for Ukraine’s Defenders and strengthening effective approaches to their social adaptation, support, and long-term reintegration. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for the meaningful professional dialogue, their high level of expertise, and their active civic engagement. It is through such scientific and practical discussions that strategic decisions are developed to advance Ukraine’s national veterans’ policy.
